About

Hi!  I’m Kristina. The author, no wait, maybe I’m the mom…
now let me switch hats and I’m the wife…oh, right now I am going to be the Reader….so many different hats all worn by the same person, but first and foremost I am a child of God.  Saved by HIS grace and mercy!

I am a 25 year old mom of three kids all under the age of four–and I’m pregnant with number 4.
Wow! I know, you would think that my husband and I would have figured out how kids happen, lol.  My best friend (his name is Paul and he likes fishing and football) and I have been married for five years this past June.  We got married when I was 12 weeks pregnant with baby number one!  Her presence changed our lives drastically and she now leads the 3under4 pack!

Zahara is full of energy, life and words!  She starts her day by asking, “Can I talk to you while you are in the shower?” and ends it by falling asleep mid-sentence. Literally.

Roman is the middle kid in our pack.  He is our miracle in that he was born with a full bowel obstruction and a potentially fatal e. Coli blood infection.  We spent 14 days in the NICU before coming home.  At twelve weeks he was re-admitted for pneumonia and has struggled with chronic upper respiratory infections ever since.  Even though he deals with asthma on a regular basis, he still is a ball of energy.  He is afraid of ladybugs, likes Buzz Lightyear and Woody and rides his Rocket on a regular basis.

Our most recent surprise is Anna.  She was our complete and utter shock child that we found out we were having on Halloween 2008!  Born on July 4, 2009 she has been a laid back addition to the family (finally, a laid back one!).  I think this is how people have more than three kids–the third is so laid back that we think we can do it again.

Number 4 is a baby girl due in February 2011.  We are excited to see what her personality will be like :-)

So that is 3under4.  Our family got started under questionable circumstances, but God has redeemed a bad choice and made it into a family for HIS glory!

I write 3under4 for 3 reasons:

  • To maintain my sanity (seriously, chocolate and ice cream are not enough…I need my writing fix)
  • To provide solidarity and humor to moms
  • To have a written record of these long days that fly by like the wind
Thanks for reading and I hope you come back!

Like what you read?
or
maybe you just want to see if I survive four kids in five years….
don’t worry, I’m wondering too:-)
